Surgical services offer a full-time general and trauma surgeon for consultation in the accident & emergency or in specialist clinic. The surgeon has access to a well equipped 24/7 operation theatre facility (one major operation theatre and one minor operation theatre) and a dedicated team of anaesthetists, nurses and technicians for handling elective and emergency surgical cases. The operation theatre is well equipped with special instruments including:
C-Arm image intensifier which allows non-invasive closed surgery for aligning fractured bones.
Computerised video-endoscope is available for gastroscopy and upper gastro intestinal examinations.
Datex Ohmeda anaesthesia machine
Multiparameter patient monitors
Operating microscope for delicate eye and ENT surgery.
