Haemodialysis
Dialysis unit
PIH is the only hospital in Papua New Guinea to offer haemodialysis facility. This is a life saving modality to save patients with chronic and acute renal (kidney) failure due to diabetes, high blood pressure and other clinical conditions.
We have a dedicated team of consultants, dialysis technicians and nurses. The unit is equipped with two sophisticated Gambro dialysis machines and a Reverse Osmosis (RO) water plant and has been functional since 2005.
